MEET JESSICA

 

Jessica Robinson is the founder and designer of luxury handbag brand, Laura Faye, named after her mother and grandmother. Jessica has a myriad of work experience and skill in many facets of the fashion industry including retail merchandiser, personal shopper/stylist, and lead costume director in the nationally touring stage play, In Love With Tyrone. Jessica is a self-taught seamstress. After graduating with her MS in fashion merchandising and business, she borrowed a sewing machine from her mom's friend, sat at the kitchen table of her family home and used YouTube to begin honing in on her skills. Eight years later, she is driven by the idea of making quality leather handbags that pleasantly surprise her customers when they find out she started out making them herself! She has been able to stand out amongst her competition by being a student of her craft, enabling her to perfect the quality, functionality, and design of her chic leather goods. As of 2022, most Laura Faye bags are no longer handmade!  We now have a manufacturing company, made in the USA!

Since the launch of Laura Faye, Jessica had been featured everywhere from luxury downtown boutiques, 100+ trade shows, a pop-up shop in the mall, and so much more! Her bold and luxurious designs have been worn by various celebrities, most notably worn at NYFW by Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily, and featured in Life and Style Magazine, and NYSFE Magazine. In the summer of 2022, Jessica accomplished a lifelong dream of having a fashion show when her bags walked down the runway in New York at the NY Summer Fashion Explosion! As a single mom, she has been able to accomplish so much and she is just getting started!
